A day in the life of my iPod

I am not a teenager with an iPod permanently glued to her hand, ubiquitous earphone cords dangling across my torso, quirky colorful pouch hanging from bright green jeans while I slouch in my hoodie. I am not a hipster whose iPod is filled with songs from artists only a handful of people have heard of. I am not a programmer or other IT person who needs to be online at all times, or wants to be able to control downloads and websites and servers through a mobile device. I’m a writer, and all I’m supposed to need is a pen and a notebook! My iPod is literally the first thing I reach for when I wake up. Not my phone, not my slumbering husband, but my iPod. I turn off the multiple alarms I set, and check my mail. When I say “check my mail," I really mean that I’m checking Facebook . And Facebook can be hazardous to your health. One morning I sleepily reached for my iPod and tried to read my Facebook alerts while still lying in bed. You know how terrible your hand-eye coordination is before you’ve had your coffee? This terrible lack of physical skill caused my iPod to fall on my lip, cutting it and making it bleed. That’s how you know that the iPod can be an effective weapon should someone try to mug you. It should come with a warning: Edges are sharp. Protect your lips! If I’m up to it, I’ll get on the treadmill. Most people would probably listen to a workout playlist, but that bores me. Instead, I read the news on the BBC News and CNN International apps, both free. The BBC app even has a Live Radio feature, so that I can tune in to the radio shows anytime. On the CNN app, I can watch video reports. If it’s local news I want, there are quite a number of apps that aggregate local news. Pinoy News collects headlines from Inquirer.net, GMANews.tv and Philstar.com. TweetDeck, recently purchased by Twitter, allows me to check traffic, weather, world news, updates from family and friends, even Star Wars news. My mother insists we need a newspaper, but why should we pay for ink and paper when the Internet delivers news to my iPod? The Nike + iPod app comes installed with your iPod Touch, and you can use this in conjunction with a Nike Sport Kit or Sensor attached to your shoes. The app will track your speed and distance, play your music so you don’t have to switch apps, and keep track of your previous runs so you can see how you’ve improved.

At the begining of the school year the school blocked all the proxies to unblock myspace that we used last year. But myspace wasnt blocked. Now they have also blocked myspace and like all the proxies we can think of. We went to google and typed in unblock myspace and all of those proxies are blocked. So how do i unblock it? I’m dying to get on.

School really isn’t the place to get onto myspace. Schools closely monitor how their computers are used. Attempting to access blocked web sites violates the computer usage policy that you agree to by using school computers. When you get caught you’ll get suspended from school or get your computer privileges taken away. Myspace will be there when you get home.
