The Breakthrough Theatre of Winter Park will present the musical, “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown”, from June 10 to July 3. The City of Winter Park Public Art Advisory Board is proud to announce the newest “Art in Chambers” exhibition featuring paintings by Lisa Rodriguez and artwork by the Multifaith Education Project. The exhibition will be on display through August. It will be open for public viewing from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, in Commission Chambers and Room 200 in Winter Park City Hall located at 401 Park Ave. S.

June marks the second anniversary of The Spice & Tea Exchange of Winter Park at 309 Park Ave. To celebrate, the store will hold a series of special events beginning Monday, June 13 through Sunday, June 19 primarily focused on charity and community. The highlight of the week’s events are cooking classes in the “Art of the Tagine.” Classes will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 15 and Thursday, June 16. On both nights, the class is free to the first 20 registrants. In addition, On Saturday, June 18 and Sunday, June 19, Holly Luisi, The Bohemian Baker, will be providing savory and sweet treats. From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 9, the Winter Park-based Center for Independent Living is holding an Emergency Management Conference at the Disney Entrepreneur Center located inside the Fashion Square Mall at 3201 E. Colonial Drive. Emergency personnel from Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties will be attending this conference to provide disabled Central Floridians with insight on personal responsibilities, what to expect in the event of an emergency, how to handle certain situations and the different types of disasters that could occur. Jennadesigns: More fun fabric and new Etsy items!

At nearly 200 sales in my Jenna's Attic Etsy shop , I was running out of business cards, so I took advantage of a promotion for 100 free business cards (pay shipping) from Overnight Prints . I've used them in the past and been very pleased - this time was no exception. I designed the front using photos of my vintage sheets in the shop and opted to pay an additional $2 to have the corners rounded on the cards. Grand total for 100 designed-by-me cards: $6.10 with rounded corners and shipping. Not too shabby and I adore them! The fronts are glossy coated and the backs are matte, which allows me to write a small thank you to include with orders. They arrived today, and ironically, I ran out of my previous Moo cards yesterday! For a while now, I've thought my got-to-have-it fabric line was Tula Pink's Prince Charming, but after seeing it in person (don't get me wrong, it's absolutely lovely!) and this bit of Alexander Henry Ghastlies in Coal, I'm smitten with the Ghastlies line. I just might be swinging back over by Charlie and Lindsay to purchase some more of the prints in the line ... a fun Halloween throw quilt might just be in order! Seriously, does it get cuter than this little girl with the hammer? And I love the non-traditional Halloween colors (orange never really did it for me, and in fact, it's the most-lacking color in my stash - some upcoming swapping should help cure that!). It's been a great fabric week for me, between Anna and Hawthorne Threads and my other friends on Flickr who have been willing to swap fabrics with me. I so appreciate everyone's generosity!
