“Swine” tasting party , 6 p.m. to midnight Saturday at Amherst Eagles. Tickets are $15 per person or $25 per couple, which includes a pig roast, salad, cole slaw, potato salad, rolls and dessert. Tomorrow’s End, a classic rock band, will play 7 to 10 p.m. There also will be trivia, door prizes, raffles and Simon Says. Proceeds to benefit spaying/neutering in Lorain County.

Hungarian Day “Magyar Nap” picnic , noon to 8 p.m. Sunday at St. Lad’s Picnic Grounds, Clinton Avenue, Lorain. Admission is $2 per person. Gates open at noon, program starts at 3 and dancing to “The Hungarians” 4 to 8 p.m. Menu will be chicken paprikas with dumplings and gravy, wiener schnitzel, kolbasz, stuffed cabbage, goulash, cabbage and noodles, and langos. Carryout available.
