Flatout (Simon) has never used a bike-to-bike intercom and is another convert now. Wales, France, Germany, The Lake District are all on the agenda along with more local one day rides. It is such a shame that we can’t organise official LB rides, simply because of insurance issues, but the individuals stepping up to the plate and putting these events together are to be applauded. Speaking of the forums, Jay is reporting that the new version of the forum software has successfully integrated with the new website so we’re getting ever closer to bringing you a brand new sparkly Londonbikers.com. Yes it seems like we’ve been talking about it for ages but he is a perfectionist, and what I’ve seen is well worth the wait. I really really want to put a sneak preview up here for you all to see but if I even hint at what it will look like I suspect Jay would have my guts for garters. But suffice to say all the editorial including the galleries will look very crisp and sexy, and the forums (while not a revolution) are a very big evolution to bring new features into play to enhance the user experience.
