World's first full-hybrid luxury compact
-->The Philippines recently became one of the first countries to introduce the world’s first full-hybrid luxury compact vehicle when local distributor, Lexus Manila announced the arrival of the CT200h recently.
In his speech at the launch, Yoichiro Kasai, assistant chief engineer of Lexus Hybrid Drive, noted that the CT 200h has a massive part to play in Lexus becoming the dominant force in advanced hybrid technology as it launches across Asia.
"The concept of the CT 200h is built around the objective to innovate an entry-level luxury car that can contribute to the Lexus brand image. By incorporating elements of innovative leadership, fun-to-drive, environmental responsibility, great design and youthfulness in the CT 200h, we want to inject energy into Lexus. This car is more than just a great car. It will attract a new, younger group of customers to the brand, appealing to people who have an environmental conscience but don’t wish to lower their standards," Kasai said.
Kasai said CT 200h is a true Lexus, delivering to premium Compact buyers the same impressive ownership experience that has made Lexus famous.
This experience is built around a well-designed and engineered product, combining sophisticated luxury with high technology and delivering a refined and comfortable driving experience, he said.
With a focus on performance, the sports-hybrid provides a sporty ride and an aggressive edge without sacrificing any of the traits that make it a genuine Lexus: comfort, practicality, refinement and luxuriousness. With an innovative "2 moods, 2 modes" selector, owners can be treated to two very different cars rolled into one as the CT200h switches from Eco to Sports mode, adjusting to the driver’s intended driving style.
In Eco mode, the CT200h behaves as a typical Lexus hybrid vehicle would, focusing on fuel economy and providing a serene ride. The combination of an innovative 1.8L Atkinson cycle engine and powerful permanent magnet electric motors allow the hybrid to reach a fuel economy of up to 24.4Km/L (combined).
In Sports mode however, the other side of the coin becomes clear, blue interior lighting is replaced with a passionate red that embodies the difference that has just been unleashed. In Sports mode, the sport-hybrid defies existing preconceptions about hybrid vehicles, firming up the electric power steering to provide a very direct steering feel and boosting electric motor performance from 500V to its maximum capacity of 650V, reaching a combined output of 134hp; the result of which is seamless and rapid acceleration.

You need visa to enter or exit. When you exit you need to turn in I94 on the pp with the stamp of your entrance as well as your new extension. On entrance they will check the old visa and write down the visa number on the new I94 that they officer will provide. The I94 usually has the visa duration as the end date.
